Uprite Services Assists Local Fresh Food Fair

For over twenty years, Uprite Services has taken pride in being able to assist small businesses in the Houston, Texas area. Given our gratitude for such longevity, our team felt it was important to set aside time to give back to the community — a move that also helped us to kick-start excitement for 2021.

Starting the New Year off Right

On January 16th, the Uprite Services team got up bright and early to head over to St. Vincent de Paul Services Center. The team spent their early morning hours participating in the Food Fair. Uprite Services helped direct traffic, load produce and assist with general clean up. One of the Uprite Services volunteers noted: “I have always volunteered, and it is very important to me to give back to the community. With COVID, it has been difficult to find ways to serve. I am grateful that Uprite Services gave our team the space to give back to a worthy cause like the Food Fair.”

About the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Fresh Food Fair

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a dedicated charity with many branches that serves the Galveston-Houston area. With food pantries closing around the area, this vital ministry helps to ensure that local families have access to the fresh food and good nutrition that they need to stay healthy. The Uprite Services team was able to assist in feeding over 400 families.
