The short answer
Managed IT services in San Antonio from Uprite start at $138 per user per month for Fully Managed IT with on-site support from our Radium Street office, $100 for co-managed IT and $91 for remote-only IT Essentials under 12 people. Every plan has a 120-day exit and a first-year rate lock.
For that flat monthly fee, one team runs the help desk, 24/7 monitoring, security, backup, Microsoft 365 and IT planning for your company. We’ve supported Texas businesses since 1999. The San Antonio office picks up at (210) 366-4811.
Managed IT services are an ongoing arrangement where an outside company, called a managed service provider (MSP), runs your help desk, monitoring, security, backup and IT planning for a flat monthly fee, usually priced per user. Two names, one thing. The MSP is who does the work, and managed IT is what you buy.

What’s included
What Managed IT in San Antonio Covers
Nobody calls an MSP on a quiet Tuesday. Something already broke. A laptop got ransomware, a big client sent over a security questionnaire, or the one person who knew every password just gave notice. So here’s what the monthly fee covers, roughly in the order it starts to matter.

Keeping the day running
A help desk with people on it
A person picks up, with a 5-minute average first response. Day-to-day support has its own page, IT support in San Antonio, and coverage details sit on our San Antonio help desk page.
24/7 monitoring
Servers, firewalls, switches and laptops report in around the clock. On Fully Managed IT, an after-hours alert reaches a person instead of a log file. See round-the-clock support for San Antonio offices.
Microsoft 365 and Azure
Licenses, tenant security, Teams, SharePoint and Azure. Tenant work lives on Microsoft 365 services in San Antonio, hosting on our San Antonio cloud page.
Backups somebody tested
Fully Managed IT tests backups every quarter instead of trusting a green checkmark. Recovery planning is on backup and disaster recovery in San Antonio.
Protecting it and planning ahead
Security inside the plan
Fully Managed IT includes the advanced security stack, so core protection isn’t a second invoice. The wider program is on cybersecurity services in San Antonio.
A SOC behind your firewall
Got internal IT but no security bench? MSSP Security Focus adds advanced firewall, SIEM and SOC monitoring from $40 per user. More on managed security services in San Antonio.
A vCIO with a calendar
Planning sessions and a roadmap you can budget around, so the server replacement doesn’t ambush you in March. See our San Antonio vCIO practice.
Backup for your IT person
Already employ someone? We add depth behind them and keep the handoffs clean. That’s co-managed IT in San Antonio, from $100 per user.
A pattern from second-opinion calls. Support sits with one company, the firewall with another and backups with a third. Nobody owns the seams. When something fails across those lines, you end up as the project manager. Not a fun job.
Phones and AI tools can sit under the same roof once the basics are handled and your team trusts the help desk, through VoIP and business phone systems and managed AI and Copilot support. Evaluating a network partner on its own? Our guide to San Antonio computer network support covers what to check.
Project work, like a migration, a major infrastructure upgrade or an office move, is scoped and priced separately, and every inclusion and exclusion is written down in plain language before you sign. No surprises later.
Pricing
What Managed IT Services Cost in San Antonio
Every plan below is a flat monthly rate per user. The same numbers sit on our published pricing page, where anyone can check them. No hidden fees, and your rate can’t go up during the first year.
| Plan | Starts at, per user per month | Built for | How it fits a San Antonio office |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fully Managed IT | $138 | Companies that want the whole IT function handled, on site and remote | The plan for San Antonio offices of 12 or more that want hands on site. It’s the only plan with on-site infrastructure management. |
| Co-Managed IT | $100 | Companies keeping an internal IT person or team | Strategic guidance, roadmap planning, compliance consulting and clean handoffs with your staff |
| IT Essentials (remote only) | $91 | Offices under 12 people using Microsoft-native tools | Business-hours support up to 8 hours per user a month, Microsoft Defender security, quarterly planning |
| MSSP Security Focus | $40 | In-house IT teams that need a SOC behind them | Firewall, SIEM and SOC monitoring, vulnerability scanning, incident response and quarterly security reviews |
| IT Pro (remote only) | $110 | Teams of 12 or more outside the Houston and San Antonio areas | Remote only. A San Antonio office of that size gets on-site help only on Fully Managed IT. |
Quick math for a real office. Say 30 people in a building off Loop 410. Fully Managed IT starts at $4,140 a month for that team. That’s the floor. Keep your internal IT lead and add us as co-managed support instead, and the starting rate is $3,000.
What about the wider market? By our own estimate, most San Antonio businesses pay $125 to $175 per user per month for fully managed support, and co-managed IT runs $60 to $130 per user. Those are estimates, not quotes. The line-by-line version, including what pushes a quote above the starting rate, is in our guide to managed IT cost in San Antonio.
Managed IT or a San Antonio hire? The BLS numbers
Nobody should weigh a managed IT invoice against zero. Weigh it against the hire you’d make instead.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics May 2025 wage survey puts the average computer user support specialist in the San Antonio-New Braunfels metro at $60,520 a year. Salary isn’t the whole bill. In the second quarter of 2026, private employers paid $46.89 an hour in total compensation for every $32.82 in wages, according to the BLS Employer Costs for Employee Compensation series, which turns that one help desk hire into roughly $86,470 a year.
| Role in the San Antonio metro | People employed in the metro | Average salary | Loaded yearly cost | Fully Managed IT seats it equals |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Computer user support specialist | 4,710 | $60,520 | about $86,470 | 52 |
| Network and computer systems administrator | 2,340 | $97,370 | about $139,110 | 84 |
| Information security analyst | 1,350 | $125,830 | about $179,770 | 108 |
Sources are BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics for the San Antonio-New Braunfels metro (May 2025) and the BLS private-industry compensation ratio for Q2 2026, which works out to 1.43 times wages. Seats are priced at $138 per user per month.
Add the 3 rows together. A small in-house bench with a help desk tech, an admin and a security analyst runs about $405,000 a year loaded, which is what Fully Managed IT costs for roughly 245 users. Each of those people also works about 2,080 of the year’s 8,760 hours. Nights, weekends and flu season are on you.
Fair warning, we sell the managed side of this math. A 150-person company with steady, predictable needs often does better with one strong internal hire plus co-managed support, and we’ll tell you that during the assessment instead of quoting a plan you don’t need.
Service levels
Service Levels You Can Hold Us To
Every MSP calls itself responsive. Ask for the number.
Ours is a 5-minute average first response across every priority level, measured on our own ticket data. It’s an average, not a per-ticket contract promise, and we’d rather say so plainly than tuck it into fine print where you’d only find it after the first bad week with a server down.
Response is one clock. Who answers at 2 a.m. on a Sunday? How often does anyone restore a backup to prove it works? Here’s what each managed plan commits to, straight from the plan sheet.
| Service level | Fully Managed IT | IT Pro (remote) | IT Essentials (remote) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Support hours | 24/7 | 24/7 | Business hours, up to 8 hours per user a month |
| Monitoring and alerts | Full visibility with after-hours response | 24/7 alerting with immediate response | Basic alerting, no response |
| Security stack | Advanced protection tools included | Advanced endpoint and email security | Microsoft Defender stack only |
| Infrastructure | On site and cloud | Azure and cloud | Azure and cloud |
| Backup | Full monitoring, tested quarterly | Monitored, tested twice a year | Basic monitoring, tested once a year |
| Planning | vCIO and planning sessions | Annual planning plus monthly virtual check-ins | Quarterly planning |
| First-year rate | Locked | Locked | Locked |
| Leaving early | Inside 120 days, no penalty | Inside 120 days, no penalty | Inside 120 days, no penalty |
4 things to get in writing from any San Antonio MSP
This applies whether you hire us or somebody else. In a May 2022 joint advisory, CISA, the NSA and the FBI told MSP customers to make sure their contracts spell out the security controls the provider runs, rather than trusting a sales deck to describe them. The same advisory tells organizations to enforce multifactor authentication, keep their most important logs for at least 6 months, and test their backups and store them apart from the network. Pull your current agreement and look for each one. Then pull ours.
- MFA on every admin account that touches your systems, the provider’s own accounts included.
- Log retention of at least 6 months, plus a way for you to see what the provider’s accounts did and when.
- A backup testing schedule written down by month. Where does the offline copy live?
- An exit clause with a date in it, so your passwords, documentation and backups come back to you on a named day.
Curious how other providers’ clocks compare? Our San Antonio IT support response time benchmarks lay out the published numbers, and the contract mistakes San Antonio companies keep making covers the clauses that bite a year later.
The San Antonio office
A San Antonio Office on Radium Street
Plenty of providers rank for San Antonio from somewhere else. Fair question to ask. Where’s the office, and who picks up the phone?
Ours sits at 11831 Radium St. in north central San Antonio, ZIP 78216. 3 lines. Each has a job. Main is (210) 366-4811. Support and the help desk answer at (210) 390-3700. If you’re pricing a switch, sales is (210) 888-4699.

Our San Antonio Google profile holds a 4.9 rating from 43 reviews as of October 9, 2026. That’s this office’s own number, not a statewide blend. Several of the reviews further down name the engineers who did the work. One client writes that it has used us for more than 10 years.
Behind the local office sits the rest of Uprite. We’ve supported Texas companies since 1999 and run offices in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, with 42 people across all 3. So when a San Antonio problem needs more depth than one office carries, like a ransomware response or a large Microsoft 365 migration, the rest of the Texas bench is a Teams call away.

Before the first call
What San Antonio Providers Publish, and What We Publish
On October 9, 2026 we read the 5 provider pages ranking on the San Antonio results for managed IT services. Not to pick on anybody. We wanted to see what a buyer can learn before a sales call. Usually, not much.
| What a buyer can check before calling | Ranking San Antonio provider pages (5 read) | This page |
|---|---|---|
| Any starting price | 1 of 5, a flat monthly fee for offices under 7 users | Per-user prices for 5 plans |
| Prices for a 20 to 100 person office | 0 of 5 | Yes, per user, every plan |
| A response-time number | 1 of 5 | 5-minute average first response |
| A plan-by-plan service level table | 0 of 5 | Yes |
| An exit term or guarantee on a managed plan | 0 of 5 | 120-day exit with no penalty |
| Government data (BLS, Texas AG, CISA) | 0 of 5 | All three |
| Texas SB 2610 | 1 of 5 | Tier table below |
None of that makes them bad providers. Different habit, that’s all. Plenty of solid shops quote everything by phone. It just means you learn the terms late, usually after an hour of discovery calls.

Texas rules
Two Texas Rules Every San Antonio Business Should Know
Neither of these shows up in a typical IT proposal. Both decide a lot about how a bad day ends.
SB 2610 and the cybersecurity safe harbor
Texas SB 2610 took effect September 1, 2025. If your company has fewer than 250 employees and holds sensitive personal information, a cybersecurity program that meets the bill’s standard keeps a court from awarding exemplary damages against you after a breach. The standard grows with headcount.
| Employees | What the program has to include |
|---|---|
| Fewer than 20 | Simplified requirements, including password policies and employee cybersecurity training |
| 20 to 99 | Moderate requirements, including CIS Controls Implementation Group 1 |
| 100 to 249 | Conformance to a recognized framework such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-171, ISO/IEC 27000 or the CIS Controls |
| 250 or more | Outside the safe harbor |
Exemplary damages are the punitive kind. Timing matters too. The safe harbor doesn’t stop a lawsuit, and the bill says it creates no new private right to sue. It limits one category of damages, and only for a program that was in place when the breach happened. A policy written the week after won’t count.
Your tier depends on headcount, so our page on small business IT support in San Antonio maps the requirements onto seat bands.

The 30-day breach notice, and what San Antonio filings show
Texas law requires any business whose breach affects 250 or more Texans to report it to the Texas Attorney General no later than 30 days after discovering it. The AG posts those reports. We pulled the public breach list on October 9, 2026 and kept the filers with a San Antonio-area address.
| What the list showed | San Antonio-area notices |
|---|---|
| Notices filed with a San Antonio-area address | 25 of the 653 on the list (21 San Antonio, 2 Floresville, 1 Converse, 1 New Braunfels) |
| Texans affected across those notices | 324,274 |
| Median notice | 3,000 Texans |
| Healthcare providers among the filers | 8 of 25 |
| Notices that exposed Social Security numbers | 15 of 25 |
| Breach found 30 or more days after it started | 10 of the 23 notices with both dates |
| Breach found 90 or more days after it started | 6 of 23 |
Source is the Texas Attorney General Data Security Breach Reports list as published on October 9, 2026 (653 notices, posted April 2025 to October 2026). San Antonio-area means the filer listed a city in the San Antonio metro. We don’t name the organizations.
Check the last 2 rows. In 10 of those filings the breach ran for a month or more before anyone noticed. Nights are the gap. An alert that fires at 1 a.m. and reaches nobody until Monday is just a timestamp.

Switching
How Switching to Uprite Works
Most transitions take 30 to 60 days from signed agreement to fully onboarded. 5 steps, in order.

1. Assess
We document your environment first. Infrastructure, security, Microsoft 365, backups, vendors and the workarounds your staff use every day. No quote goes out before this.
2. Roadmap
You get a written plan that ranks fixes, upgrades and retirements by business risk. It’s yours to keep whether you sign or not.
3. Onboard
We run alongside your current provider while documentation, passwords and tools move over, so coverage never drops. Your staff get security awareness training along the way.
4. Operate
Help desk, monitoring, patching, backup checks and vendor calls run every day against the roadmap, not just when a ticket arrives.
5. Review
On the schedule your plan sets, we sit down with your leadership to go over ticket trends, response times, open risks and roadmap progress.
Leaving another MSP feels risky. Done in order, it isn’t. The guide on what San Antonio businesses pay for IT in 2026 covers the search, and the assessment is free.

Questions
Managed IT in San Antonio, Answered
How much do managed IT services cost in San Antonio?
Uprite’s managed IT services in San Antonio start at $138 per user per month for Fully Managed IT with on-site support, $100 for co-managed IT and $91 for remote-only IT Essentials under 12 people. MSSP Security Focus starts at $40 per user. Every rate is published, with no hidden fees and a first-year rate lock.
Is managed IT the same as an MSP?
Practically, yes. Managed IT is the service. The managed service provider (MSP) is the company that delivers it for a flat monthly fee.
Does Uprite have an office in San Antonio?
Yes. Our San Antonio office is at 11831 Radium St., San Antonio, TX 78216, and the main line is (210) 366-4811. Support answers at (210) 390-3700. The office’s own Google profile shows 4.9 stars from 43 reviews as of October 2026.
Do your San Antonio engineers come on site?
On Fully Managed IT, yes. It’s the plan with on-site infrastructure management, starting at $138 per user per month. IT Pro and IT Essentials are remote-only plans, and IT Pro is built for teams outside the Houston and San Antonio areas.
How fast does Uprite respond to a ticket?
About 5 minutes on average, across every priority level, measured on our own tickets. That’s an average rather than a per-ticket guarantee. Fully Managed IT and IT Pro include 24/7 support, while IT Essentials covers business hours.
What happens if we’re unhappy after we sign?
You can leave. If you aren’t satisfied within the first 120 days, you can exit the contract with no penalty, and your rate stays locked for the first year either way. We’d rather earn the renewal than trap anyone into it.
Can you work alongside our in-house IT person?
That’s co-managed IT, from $100 per user per month. Your IT lead keeps the day-to-day, and we add strategic guidance, roadmap planning, compliance consulting and support behind them, with clean handoffs between your staff and ours.
Is managed IT cheaper than hiring an IT person in San Antonio?
It depends on headcount. BLS data puts the average San Antonio computer user support specialist at $60,520 a year, about $86,470 once benefits and payroll costs are added, which equals Fully Managed IT for about 52 users. That one hire also covers only 2,080 of the year’s 8,760 hours.
Does Texas SB 2610 apply to my business?
Only if your company has fewer than 250 employees and holds sensitive personal information. A program that meets its standard blocks exemplary damages after a breach, and the standard scales from simplified rules under 20 employees to CIS Controls IG1 at 20 to 99 and a full framework at 100 to 249.
How long does it take to switch to Uprite from another MSP?
Most transitions take 30 to 60 days from signed agreement to fully onboarded. We run alongside your current provider while documentation, passwords and tools move over, so your team keeps coverage the whole way through.
